Choose your trip in Sweden

How to choose your trip in Sweden?

Sweden stretches over 1,600 km from north to south, which means you need to choose your regions rather than trying to visit everything. For a first trip, allow a minimum of one week to combine Stockholm with a nearby region such as Dalarna or the archipelago. Our trips from 1 to 7 days are ideal for city breaks and short themed stays, for example a northern lights hunt in Abisko in February. To combine the south, the west coast and a foray into Laponia, plan for a minimum of two weeks, with a domestic flight to Kiruna or Luleå.

Different types of trips

We build several itinerary profiles based on your interests. Lovers of forests, lakes and national parks like Sarek or Abisko can choose our nature and landscape trips. Those travelling in winter for the northern lights, dog sledding and nights in igloos prefer our polar world trips. Finally, to discover Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Scandinavian design, our city and urban culture trips are perfect for short stays of 4 to 6 days.

What is the best season?

Sweden can be visited year-round, but each season offers a different experience. From June to August, temperatures range between 18 and 25°C in the south, and the midnight sun illuminates Laponia until early August: this is the ideal period for hiking, kayaking in the archipelago and nights in cabins. From late September to March, Laponia becomes the playground for northern lights, with temperatures dropping to -30°C in Kiruna in January. December is popular for Christmas markets and the atmosphere in Jokkmokk.
